Data Grid – Conditional Formatting

The Data Grid allows you to assign conditional formatting of individual cells or rows based on specific conditions.

Multiple format rules can be applied to a Data Grid’s View simultaneously.

Add Conditional Formatting

  • Right click on a column inside the Data Grid.

When selecting a character type field you’ll have the option to choose between “Highlight Cell Rules” and “Top/Bottom Rules”.

When selecting a numeric field type then you can additionally also choose between “Color Scales” and “Icon Sets”.

Select “Highlight Cell Rules”

  • Select one of the options like “Greater Than…”.

  • Enter a value and define formatting.
  • Optionally define if to apply formatting to the entire row.

The formatting will be applied.

Select “Top/Bottom Rules”

  • Select one of the options like “Top 10 Items…”.

  • Enter a value and define formatting.
  • Optionally define if to apply formatting to the entire row.

The formatting will be applied.

Select “Color Scales”

  • Select a Color Scale.

The formatting will be applied.

Select “Icon Sets”

  • Select a Icon Set.

The formatting will be applied.

Clear Rules

  • Right click a formatted column and select either “Clear Rules from This Column” or “Clear Rules from All Columns”.
