By default most web browsers decide what is best when they find a pop-up link, and usually every DBxtra report open from the Report Web Service is opened in a new window, if you want to always open every new report in a new tab instead you can do as follows:
Internet Explorer:
1.- Open Internet Explorer.
2.- Locate the menu bar, if you can’t see the menu bar, press the Alt key.
3.- Go to Tools->Internet Options.
4.- In the resulting window, in the General Tab you will see a Tabs section and a Tabs button, click it.
5.- In this new window, you will find a “When a pop-up is encountered” section and under it the “Always open pop-ups in a new tab” option, select it.
6.- Click Ok in both windows and every new report you open from the Report Web Service will be opened in a new tab.
Firefox:
1.- Open Firefox.
2.- Locate the menu bar, if you can’t see the menu bar, press the Alt key.
3.- Go to Tools->Options.
4.- In the resulting window, in the Tabs Tab you will see the “Open tabs instead of windows” option, select it.
5.- Click Ok and every new report you open from the Report Web Service will be opened in a new tab.
Safari:
1.- Open Safari.
2.- Locate the menu bar, if you can’t see the menu bar, press the Alt key.
3.- Go to Edit->Preferences..
4.- In the resulting window, in the Tabs Tab you will see the “Open pages in tabs instead of windows” option, select Always.
5.- Close that window and every new report you open from the Report Web Service will be opened in a new tab.
