- Migrating the Report Web Service from legacy (DBxtra version 8.2.3 and prior) to responsive (DBxtra version 9.0.0 +)
- To migrate the Report Web Service from legacy to the new responsive Report Web Service select > Report Web Service > Configuration & Appearance from the DBxtra Designer menu bar.
- Unselect “Legacy Report Web Service”.
From now on the Report Web Service will display with its responsive interface.
What happens to the styles assigned to my report objects when I change to the responsive interface of the Report Web Service?
If you’re changing from the legacy interface (DBxtra version 8.2.3 and prior) to the responsive interface of the Report Web Service (DBxtra version 9.0.0 +) all report objects with a style assigned based on the legacy interface, will open up with the default responsive style.
If you want these report objects to show a specific responsive style (like 125%, 150%, etc.), then you need to customize these report objects again by right clicking them and selecting Web Customization.
I want to change back to the legacy interface, but I already changed some of my report objects to use a responsive style, what will happen then?
All report objects with a style assigned based on the new interface, will open up with the old default style (Minimalist Menu with/without Sidebars).
If you want these report objects to show a specific old style, then you need to customize these report objects again by right clicking them and selecting Web Customization.
So, if I change to the new responsive Report Web Service interface, will the style customization of my report objects be lost?
No, if you changed to the new interface, and for some reason you wanted to go back to the old interface, the report objects you didn’t change manually will still show the style customization they had before the change.
